I loved how I was able to disconnect completely from real life. Everything is charming and done with a lot of taste. the villa design from outdoor and indoor. I really suggest it, for honeymoon or for a distress and relaxing days. Superb! loved it !
well we have to be very picky like me to have to complain. but there was something that was bothering a bit, is those sort of things that I could imagine dead geckos, or any insects, that you could see pushing throught the veil on the top of the bed hanging on the baldanquin. It shouldn't really bother, but I like cleaniness, and thinking that they would maybe dead little beasts over there bothered me a bit. But generally sheets and the villa was really clean.

The stuff is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent, huge variety of hot and cold dishes, fruits and juices. The Laguna swimming pool is good for both, leisure and swimming. The surrounding is spectacular. With just as small effort it is possible to walk amongst nice rice fields, villages...
The pictures on the website showed an old part of the resort while we received a villa in a Laguna pool area. The villas there are a bit over designed. They look spectacular but some solutions are not very comfortable.

The staff were excellent in terms of friendliness and attention. The free shuttle to Ubud centre was a bonus and reduced the impact of being out of town. The position adjacent to working paddy fields in a garden setting was very good.
.The only drawback was that the timber gates separating the private pool from the lagoon had deteriorated to the point that 2 out of three had been nailed permanently closed - not a great problem but should have been easily fixed.

when we arrived we received ( despitye the fact we had sened mails to have a nice room) a bad room small with only glass walls ,quite dirty those rooms are around a common pool , the private pool i s a duck pool not a pool so we were terribly deceived but after complaining we received the next day a very nice room as you see on the pics on the website much larger and clean with a real small swimming pool ( there is a very nice large one not far ); So not completely honest people. The breakfast was great , the dinner is not so good with no great indonesian food and quite expensive....happily there are shuttles to ubud and there we recommand lotus cafe and for massages an inexpensive 10 meters in front of the tourism agency
dishonesty that although we asked specifically a nice room with large pool in a mail and also at arriving in a first step they putted us in a bad small room not nice ( and we were there for 5 days )

This hotel was a dream! We were on honeymoon and booked a pool villa (for about 100 euros). We actually got a whole house (2 floors) with private pool, 2 toilets, 2 flat screen tv's, outdoor shower and jacuzzi, indoor bath, livingroom and dining room and upstairs a big sleepingroom. Staff is excellent. Everything is well maintained. This is really good hotel.
Since this is a luxury hotel, prices of food and spa aren't cheap. So best is to get your stuff from city supermarkets. There is a free shuttle to Ubud city every 2 or 3 hours, which isn't very flexible, and when you miss it, you have to pay 15 dollars for a taxi to the city. Hotel is pretty far away from Ubud, which is also good because you have great views (from your bed) on the rice paddies.

Everything was wonderful..
Mmm only the ants issues and lazarads, and the swimming pool was cold to swim, belive me the only problem of this hotel is that it is in the middle of nature, so excpect all the kind of ants and lazards, but actually the hotel did well to prevent our room of these stuff, and what make us comfort is that they are good handling our problems with ants

The villas are really nice and pleasant. When you enter yours, you will be impressed... But...
We did not get lucky I guess and where between 2 villas where kids were really noisy in the morning and parents loud until late in the night... It was impossible to sleep more than 4 hours per night... We were hoping for a relaxing, private, intimate sanctuary and instead we had to use ear plugs to try to get some sleep... The setting is not proper to have couples and family... Then the pool is so cold that you litterally can not enjoy it as all... The prices used in the hotel are really really abusive. We did not realize it right away but when we went to Sanur in a 5 star property, the prices were less outrageous. The last impression was also dissapointed as we sat 25 minutes at the reception to complete the check out, only one person is there and she tries to assist all the guests at the same time and picks up calls for the whole hotel as reception is the "operator"!

Ambiance of the area, lay-out of the hotel, but most of all the private garden surrounding the villa anf private pool.
Quite a distance from the main shipping/dinning area of Ubud.

We had the most amasing stay at Furama and would highly recomend, the staff were so friendly. The location even though 20min out of Ubud is an asset for the pease and tranquility, an experiance never to forget. Highly recomend the cooking class.
